Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) Online Application/Nomination for AMP Awards

Logging In:

Our Application and Submission System is now connected to the AMP membership database. To login:

1.) Click "Log In With AMP" (to the left)

2.) Login with your MyAMP Credentials

  • Your username is your email address
  • If you don't remember your MyAMP Credentials, click "Forgot your Password?" or email us at amp@amp.org
  • If you don't have a MyAMP account, click "New user? Click here" to create an account

3.) When logging in for the first time you will encounter an "Allow Access?" screen.  Click "Allow".  You should only need to do this one time.

4.) Your Profile will be pre-populated with information from your AMP Profile. To edit this information visit www.amp.org/myamp and login.

4.) If you have any trouble logging in, contact us at amp@amp.org for assistance.

IMPORTANT:

If you notice a window that asks you to "Allow Access?", be sure to click the "Allow" button. 
This window gives permission to push data over from one AMP administered membership database, where you logged in, to the AMP nominations and applications system so that it can automatically check your membership status and populate your user profile. AMP Award for Excellence in Molecular Diagnostics (2027)

  • Recognizes lifetime, pioneering, and special achievements by professionals in the field.

  • Special lecture by Recipient at the Annual Meeting (two years from selection)

  • Award Plaque and Honorarium

 Ongoing April 9, 2025 for 2027 May / June 2025 Annual Meeting & Expo in 2 years

AMP Jeffrey A. Kant Leadership Award (2025)

  • AMP member who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the accomplishment of the mission and goals of AMP.

  • AMP member in good standing for at least the previous 5 years.

  • Medal and Honorarium

 Ongoing April 9, 2025 for 2025 May 2025 Annual Meeting & Expo, current year

AMP Meritorious Service Award (2025)

  • AMP member who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and effort, over time and often behind-the-scenes, to provide exceptional service to AMP and its membership.

  • Certificate of Appreciation

2024 International Membership Grant

  • Laboratory scientists who reside in countries outside of the United States and who are currently involved in clinical molecular diagnostics are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will receive AMP membership, active for one calendar year. Current or past AMP members are not eligible for this grant.

US Based Trainee Travel Awards

  • The AMP Trainee Travel Award provides up to three (3) selected AMP member trainees, who live and work in the U.S., complimentary registration and up to $1,500 travel reimbursement assistance to the Annual Meeting & Expo.

International Trainee Travel Award

  • Up to three (3) International (Non-US) AMP Associate members (Students, Residents, or Fellows) awards may be granted.
  • Preference will be given to trainees who do not reside in high-income countries as listed by the World Bank Country Classifications
  • Abstract Authorship is required
  • The travel award will provide up to $3,000.00 USD reimbursement for travel expenses as well as complimentary meeting registration.

Underrepresented in Medicine Travel Award

  • Up to three (3) awards may be granted for applicants who:
  • Reside in the United States

AND

  • Work in the field of molecular medicine who identify as African American and/or Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American (American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians), Pacific Islander, and mainland Puerto Rican.
  • AMP membership and/or abstract submission are not required for this award 
  • Award winners will receive complimentary meeting registration and up to $1,500.00 in reimbursement for travel expenses.

Technologist Travel Award

  • Up to three (3) awards may be granted to AMP Technologist members who do not receive travel support from their institutions.
  • Applicants must NOT have received a travel award within the past three years
  • Abstract authorship is preferred, but not required.
